Upgraded Pathfinder Air-Cooled Screw Chiller – Daikin Applied
MINNEAPOLIS — Daikin Applied announced upgrades to its award-winning, 100%-configurable Pathfinder® air-cooled screw chiller. Already one of the most efficient air-cooled screw chillers on the market, these upgrades will deliver even greater energy savings in the same footprint as well as additional flexibility with the option to add factory-installed pump packages.
One of the new options for the Pathfinder is a higher efficiency compressor. The new compressor configuration continues to feature Daikin’s VVR® technology and additionally boasts higher efficiency than the standard compressor, especially at part-load conditions, where a chiller typically operates most of the time.
This upgrade doesn’t affect the form factor of the Pathfinder, so it will allow for better full- and part-load efficiency for a given unit footprint. This efficiency-focused solution is particularly beneficial for spaces that are footprint constrained, such as data centers, or for those that are trying to achieve a specific efficiency threshold.

FRICK AcuAir Hygienic Air Units – Johnson Controls
MILWAUKEE — Johnson Controls, a global provider of smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, enhanced its product line of FRICK® AcuAir® Hygienic Air units, with the goal of reducing overall delivery times and improving customer experiences. The line of precision-engineered systems now includes a standard mixed air-style product line featuring 19 models (ranging from 7K – 100K) and has been designed to improve the delivery of sanitary air to food-process rooms. Using standardized models allows proposals and submittal packages capable of delivery within hours, makes it possible for food processing plants to receive the units when they need them and avoid interruption.
AcuAir Hygienic Air units are designed to help processors manage conditions to comply with government requirements for food safety. The new AcuAir Hygienic Air units reduce plant downtime and associated costs by keeping process room temperatures between 35°F and 40°, reducing the need for daily sanitation cycles and increasing production. Effective management of cleaning intervals can also get process rooms back to production in a timelier manner.

Plenum-Rated Safe-T-Switch Line – RectorSeal
HOUSTON — RectorSeal LLC, a manufacturer of HVACR and plumbing accessories and a wholly owned subsidiary of CSW Industrials Inc., introduced a trio of patented and UL®-recognized SSP Series Safe-T-Switch® units rated for plenum installations.
A gray color unit body quickly identifies the SS1P, SS2P, and SS3P as plenum-rated products. Installed using a six-foot-long, plenum-rated, 18 gauge wire, all units quickly connect to the thermostat wiring on the indoor HVAC unit.
RectorSeal's Safe-T-Switch product series features patented, code-compliant condensate overflow switches with a built-in, easy-access, external, hand-ratcheting float that adjusts without uninstalling or cap removal. The corrosion-resistant ratchet's adjustability also helps prevent the lightweight, rigid foam polypropylene float's contact with the base bottom or drain pan, where bio-growth build-ups can affect buoyancy and reliability.
Designed for primary drain lines, the SS1P has a float assembly sensitivity that can be adjusted without removing the top cover and allows installation on a slope up to 45 degrees. The top cover removes easily using the tapered cam locks, enabling inspection of the float switch and access to use the included cleanout tool to clear drain lines.
