ASME Prepares 2021 BPV Code

Flat panel display, Input device, Laptop part, Computer hardware, Technology, Product

Issued every two years, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ (ASME’s) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) sets the standard for the safe design, manufacture, and maintenance of boiler and pressure vessels, power-producing machines, and nuclear power plant components. Today, more than ever, code users around the world — boiler/pressure vessel manufacturers, operators, stamp holders, and inspectors — rely on the updated information to ensure safety and compliance. The 2021 ASME BPVC officially is the latest edition and is required for ASME stamp certification. The latest version of the code is expected to be available in July.
From Feb. 7-12, ASME will present Boiler Code Week, a forum for business leaders and policymakers interested in discussing high-profile topics related to the ASME BPVC concerning the design, fabrication, and inspection of boilers, pressure vessels, and nuclear power plant technologies. Code week committee meetings are open to the public. For more information, click here.
