Inverter Scroll Heat Pump Chiller – LG Air Conditioning Technologies

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — LG Electronics U.S.A.’s Air Conditioning Technologies division’s Inverter Scroll Heat Pump Chiller provides a wide range of both hot and chilled fluid for comfort and process applications. The heating performance of the LG Inverter Scroll Heat Pump Chiller provides engineers and owners with a valuable option in their demand to exceed market trends and assist in promoting electrification and carbon reduction efforts active in the marketplace.

As states across the country continue to put in place regulations promoting electrification and decarbonization as well as banning evaporative cooling, the performance of LG’s Inverter Scroll Heat Pump Chiller provides an effective way to meet hot water heating requirements while still supporting a carbon-reducing strategy. The LG Inverter Scroll Heat Pump Chiller’s state-of-the-art innovation is attributed to several key components, including inverter technology for more precise and efficient response to load demand and lower ambient/high-performance heating with exceptional capacity performance.

“Given its attributes and benefits, the LG Inverter Scroll Heat Pump Chiller is providing heating and cooling solutions in many types of buildings across a wide range of markets, including health care, education, technology, and more,” said John Michael, U.S. chiller product manager at LG Air Conditioning Technologies. “Its modularity of design allows system engineers to take advantage of configuring a large high-performance chiller without sacrificing efficiency, performance, and redundancy by piping multiple modules together meeting the capacity demand of the plant in both two-pipe and/or four-pipe simultaneous cooling and heating applications. The part-load kW-per-ton performance of 1.62 promotes the LG Inverter Scroll Heat Pump Chiller to be desirable in this type of application.”

CC200 Case Controller – Emerson

ST. LOUIS — Emerson introduced the CC200 case controller, a stand-alone controller for virtually any type of refrigeration display case or walk-in box and all required loads. Built upon Emerson’s extensive industry experience and utilizing customers’ insights, the CC200 controller is designed to handle the unique challenges of retail grocery refrigeration environments. The Cold Chain Connect app was designed as an innovative solution to communicate with the controller and provide streamlined startup and commissioning, advanced connectivity, and troubleshooting for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), end users, and contractors.

The CC200 controller is designed to make case control simple. The microprocessor-based controller enables OEMs to manage all loads in a refrigerated case, including lighting, fans, defrost heaters, liquid line solenoid valves (LLSVs), unipolar steppers, bipolar steppers, pulse width modulation (PWM) expansion valves, and electronic evaporator pressure-regulating (EEPR) valves — all from a single stand-alone unit.

The advanced algorithms in the CC200 controller provide precise superheat control and discharge air temperature control that results in significant improvement in energy savings, store health scores, system reliability, and food quality.

NTB7L Power Tubing Bender – NAVAC

LYNDHURST, N.J. — NAVAC, a supplier of HVAC vacuum pumps in addition to a wide array of tools, gauges, charging machines, recovery units, and industry-specific items, has introduced one of the HVACR industry’s first power tubing benders. The newest addition to the company’s BreakFree® series of conveniently cordless tools, NAVAC’s NTB7L Power Tubing Bender is designed to make a typically time-intensive chore far simpler, quicker, and more precise. The NTB7L joins the NTE11L Power Tubing Expander and award-winning NEF6LM Power Flaring Tool in NAVAC’s family of battery-operated tubing tools.

For HVAC service technicians, bending large-diameter tubing is often a difficult, time-consuming task requiring high levels of attention and precision. Often, part of the frustration is removing the bent tube from a conventional bender mandrel. NAVAC’s power tubing bender represents an exacting, time-saving solution to this often laborious process.

Suitable for seven distinct tubing sizes with outside diameters (OD) ranging from ¼ to 7/8 inch, the NTB7L Power Tubing Bender allows soft ACR copper to be bent to any desired angle up to 90 degrees via a single press/release control switch and offers simple OD size changes in just seconds. Upon a completed bend, the unit’s baffle automatically ejects the tubing while the tool resets – eliminating the end-of-bend struggles common with manual applications.

Despite its light weight — the unit weighs just 6.2 pounds, including the battery — the NTB7L Power Tubing Bender’s large-capacity lithium battery can power more than 100 bends per charge and be fully recharged in 30 minutes. NAVAC also offers a separately sold NTBRK Reverse Bending Kit.

Under Sink Guardian Mixing Valve – Watts

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Watts introduced the LFUSG-HWP, an Under Sink Guardian® point-of-use mixing valve with hot water purge.

This unique four-port valve features a hot water purge lever that allows facilities to perform a sanitization at the faucet with “the flip of a switch.” Benefits include increased safety with quick sanitization at the point of use. The rest of the facility can continue to function without a full system shutdown, allowing uninterrupted water distribution and savings on labor, as no tools are required to initiate sanitization. The valve comes standard with a cover to ensure only authorized users can initiate sanitization.

Electron Family of Tankless Heat Pump Water Heaters – Intellihot

CHICAGO — Intellihot, a designer/manufacturer of built-environment systems that challenge traditional approaches for sustainability, introduces the Electron family of tankless heat pump water heaters, designed and built for commercial applications.

Electron units include the iE1, an integrated unit with a thermal battery that can be installed indoors or outdoors; and the iE6, a larger modular heat pump that installs outdoors and pairs with the iB3, a thermal battery that installs indoors.

Like all Intellihot water heaters, the Electron has the energy efficiency, water safety, and on-demand performance of tankless water heaters. The Electron uses electric heat pump technology with CO2 as the refrigerant paired with a specially designed thermal battery, making it unique. CO2 is environmentally friendly with an extremely low global warming potential (GWP) of 1; it has superior heat transfer characteristics compared to synthetic refrigerants and is a naturally occurring substance and abundant in the atmosphere; and it’s safe because it’s nonflammable and nontoxic. The specially designed thermal battery stores heat energy and enables heating water on-demand without the need to store large quantities of potable water.

“Today, we’re seeing the advent of technologies and policies that will help slow global warming and heat pumps are one important part of the solution,” said Sri Deivasigamani, CEO, Intellihot. “We have reinvented the traditional heat pump water heater to combine the best of tankless water heaters, thermal energy storage, and grid connectivity. Our Electron series sets a new benchmark in performance, ease of installation, and water safety for the commercial industry.”
