Performance Monitors for Water Quality Systems – Watts
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Watts released new monitors designed to ensure optimal performance of key water quality systems.
These new monitors will now come standard on the Big Bubba® BB-S101 whole-home filtration system and the OneFlow® OFRES-K & OFCOM-EK Series anti-scale systems. The performance monitors send notifications when routine maintenance is needed, such as media or filter changes.
The BB-S101 point-of-entry system gives plumbing contractors a solution for end users concerned about lead, PFAS, cysts, and chlorine taste and odor in their drinking water. The BB-M101 Smart Volumetric Flow Monitor displays percentage of filter life consumed, percentage of filter life remaining, and volume of water remaining until filter replacement is due.
OneFlow is a salt-free, chemical-free, anti-scale technology that is an economical and environmentally friendly alternative to water softening or scale sequestering devices. The U-M311 Time Elapsed Monitor displays percentage of media life consumed, percentage of media life remaining, number of days until media replacement is due, and water volume conditioned since the last media reset.

PPM2 Battery Portable High-Sensitivity Hygrometer – Edgetech Instruments
HUDSON, Mass. — The battery portable, fast-responding PPM2 hygrometer from Edgetech Instruments uses a fundamental principle and a diffusion barrier to measure trace water vapor in gases from 0.1-1,250 ppmv. Recalibration is not required under normal usage.
The PPM2 is a trace moisture analyzer for monitoring dew/frost point temperature or ppmv water vapor content in gases. It is configured to meet remote, spot sampling, or semi-permanent absolute humidity measurement requirements. Detectible range is from 0.1-1,250 ppmv water vapor. The PPM2 is ideally used for relatively clean, dry, inert gas measurement. Applications include air separation and purified gases, medical and pharmaceutical gases, and semiconductor manufacturing.
The PPM2 uses an electrolytic, phosphorus pentoxide sensor in combination with a protective, proprietary, semi-permeable diffusion membrane. The principle of operation applies Faraday’s Law of Electrolysis to determine the water vapor content by measuring the dissociation current needed to electrolyze the water molecules in a gas sample.

EXTON, Pa. — NETZSCH Pumps North America LLC announces the new TORNADO® T1 pump, designed to produce high flow at low to medium pressures in a small compact package. It is ideal for applications in industrial applications. The TORNADO T1 pump can handle a wide range of viscosities, solids, temperature, abrasion, and corrosive/acidic process fluids and environments.
The pump is designed to handle just about any orientation and installation. Its robust design offers longevity, operational flexibility, and dry-run capabilities. It allows the pump to operate and handle many upset process conditions without causing harm to the pump. The pumps are available up to over 4,000 gpm and up to 130 psi.
NETZSCH TORNADO T1 is a Full Service-in-Place (FSIP®) pump. The front pullout design allows for easy access for maintenance and inspection. Opening the front cover allows access to the wear plates, lobes, and seals, making this pump very easy to service.
Additionally, there is no need to access the timing gears or bearing as they are protected with the NETZSCH Gearbox Security System (GSS). This desirable feature protects the gearbox from the process side of the pump (wet-end). The GSS is an air gap that exists between the mechanical seal and the lip seal of the timing gearbox that establishes a physical separation between them. Should the mechanical seal leak, no product can get into the pump’s gearbox to contaminate the timing gear oil. The air gap allows for the process fluid to drip away from the shaft and timing gearbox to prevent damage; the process fluid physically cannot pass through the air gap and migrate past the gearbox lip seal. This air gap fully prevents the intermingling of the two fluids, resulting in improved long-term operation and allows for the pump to have lower total cost of ownership.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — FläktGroup® SEMCO™ has expanded its efficient chilled beam offerings to make the selection more suitable for diverse design needs.
All beams are now available for cable suspension in addition to rigid suspension and are configurable through a new web-based selection tool. FläktGroup SEMCO chilled beams are available with threaded water connections and hose kits, allowing installation without soldering and associated hot work permits and fire watch after rough-in.
FläktGroup SEMCO chilled beams, suitable for lay-in ceiling installation, are now also available with new and improved dry-wall trim kits. This allows for a clean edge around the beam, improving the finished look after installation in ceilings without lay-in grids.
